Business Writer/Editor

 
FMR is looking to hire a Business Writer/Editor to join our team in Yangon and work across our subscription services. This is a full-time role which will involve:
  • Monitoring news and information sources for relevant material
  • Editing written content to an international standard, ready for publication
  • Researching and writing a range of content including news briefs and company profiles
  • Collecting and analysing economic, business and trade data
  • Working closely with other staff members
  • Interviewing and meeting companies or other relevant organisations
The ideal candidate will:
  • Be a native English speaker
  • Demonstrate relevant experience, e.g. business journalism, editing, research
  • Be able to edit material efficiently and to a high standard
  • Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Have a solid understanding of Myanmar business and economic issues
  • Be comfortable with speaking to and visiting companies and government bodies
  • Be motivated by working in a small team in a fast-growing business

Research Analyst

We are looking to hire a researcher to join our fast-growing team, working across a range of reports and subscription services. 

 
The job will involve: 
  • Monitoring news and information sources for relevant material 
  • Translating materials from Burmese to English 
  • Interviewing and meeting companies or other relevant organisations 
  • Researching and writing a range of content including company and project profiles 
  • Collecting and analysing economic, business, and trade data 
  • Working closely with other staff members 
The ideal candidate will: 
  • Be a native Burmese speaker with experience working in an international business environment 
  • Demonstrate relevant experience, e.g. business journalism, market research 
  • Have a solid understanding of Myanmar business and economic issues 
  • Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Be comfortable with speaking to and visiting companies and government bodies
